The program assists low-income individuals as they strive to become self-reliant. The program receives donations of used cars from the community and prepares them to be road ready for distribution to eligible recipients, allowing the wage earners in each family to have dependable transportation to work. Each recipient receives a small loan for purchase of the car to be paid back over a 12-month period (to donate a car to Vehicles for Change, call 800-835-3821).
