  • Earth Day – April 22, 2018
  • National Love a Tree Day – May 16, 2018
  • Clean the Bay Day – June 2, 2018 at Liberia Plantation
  • National Trails Day – June 2, 2018
  • Cache In Trash Out Park Cleanup – Sept. 22, 2018 at Mayfield Fort
  • National Public Lands Day – Sept. 29, 2018 at Liberia Plantation
  • America Recycles Day – Nov. 15, 2018

Dates without a specific location are open for you to pick a park of your choosing in the City of Manassas. Not sure where to volunteer? Check out our parks.

Registration:

Adopt-a-Park Volunteer Groups: If your group adopted a park and would like to participate in one of the scheduled cleanups and/or would like additional volunteers send your information to Christen Fox to register your group.

Individual Volunteers/Groups: If you or your group would like to participate in a scheduled cleanup, send your information, park event date, and the park of your choosing to Christen Fox to register.

Why Register? The events listed above are nationally recognized and groups across the nation will be joining in to make a difference. Keep our parks healthy by volunteering locally. In addition, the scheduled park cleanup days listed above will receive support from the City of Manassas, Parks, Culture & Recreation Division through extra volunteers, advertisement, and resources when available. Certain events offer free t-shirts!

Clean the Bay day at Liberia

Clean the Bay Day June 3, 2017 Approximately 20 volunteers gathered together to collect trash along the creek bed at Liberia Plantation. The group filled a dump truck load of bagged trash in just 3 hours!

Mayfield Fort Sept 2017

Cache In Trash Out September 23, 2017 The NOVA Geocache Group and Girl Scout Troop 6848 worked for 2 hours to improve the environment at Mayfield Fort. The group proves it only takes a couple hours to make a difference!
