Electronics Drop Off Day - January 14thThe City of Manassas is working in partnership with Potomac eCycle to provide residents with a special "post holiday" - "pre Super Bowl" drop off day at their facility.

America Recycles Day!
City of Manassas residents have been celebrating America Recycles Day all month long!
On October 24th, the Mayor and City Council proclaimed Saturday, November 5th Manassas Recycles Day to celebrate RecycleFest.
RecycleFest 2016 broke the record for residents attending a recycling event. 452 cars passed through the gates of the Manassas Transfer Station in just four hours! Tons of electronics, household hazardous waste, shredding and clothing was dropped off for recycling instead of heading to the landfill reducing the cost of waste disposal for the City and preventing toxins from entering our water and soil.
The Osbourn High School Ecology Club made a video to help everyone think about the importance of picking up litter and recycling when and where it counts.
The City of Manassas Boys and Girls Club explored textile reuse in a fantastic new way. Project Recycle Runway took gently used clothing from Savers™ and turned them into new and fabulous designs. The best part is that all of the designs hit the runway with a fashion show for everyone to enjoy.
Finally, the City of Manassas and American Disposal have teamed up to launch a new recycling grant program for Homeowners Associations (HOAs) in the City of Manassas.
The City of Manassas Recycling Grant is designed to fund community based recycling projects that reflect initiative, innovation and teamwork to help increase recycling and reduce the amount of trash at the curb every week.
