Battery Disposal Help for the Holidays

alkaline batteries

Christmas and batteries seem to go together. Make sure that you safely dispose of your Alkaline AAA, A, C and D batteries by bagging them before you throw them away. To avoid a fire hazard, please make sure that you tape the top and bag your square Alkaline 9 Volt batteries before you throw them away. Combustible Lithium Ion and rechargeable batteries should NOT go in the trash. You can safely dispose of them at Home Depot, Lowes or at our next HHW drop off day in March.
