Leaf Collection Smart

leaves raked to the curb

Leaf collection time is here and residents all over the City are beginning to gather their leaves for pick-up. Before you rake – take a moment to go over the rules for collection. Leaf collection follows a rotating section schedule throughout the City. Leaves are collected only once during any given week on that schedule – so it important that you set your leaves out before your section begins collection.

  • Please rake the leaves to the edge of the sidewalk the day before the collection period. Do not block traffic lanes or sidewalk. Leaves that are out of reach, or on private property will not be collected.
  • You can help prevent flooding in your area by not raking your leaves into the storm drains.
  • Do not park your car or allow children to play in the leaves once leaves are raked to the curb.
  • Don't forget that you can also set out your leaves in paper yard waste bags or private containers on Mondays with your yard waste!
  • No leaves in plastic bags will be collected.

If you have missed your scheduled collection, please wait until the next time your street is scheduled. Visit our Leaf Collection page for more information and an interactive leaf collection guide
