Fire Fighters
The City of Manassas Fire and Rescue Department, in cooperation and coordination with the ManassasVolunteer Fire Company and the Greater Manassas Volunteer Rescue Squad, provides fire protection and emergency medical services to the citizens of Manassas and the surrounding communities.

Fire Department Highlights
  • 60 full-time staff with 55 assigned to operations, two fire marshals, one in the office of emergency management, one administrative staff, and the fire and rescue chief
  • Two emergency response facilities:
    • Fire Station: 9322 Centreville Road
    • Rescue Station: 9322 Center Street
  • In FY 2012, fire and rescue units responded to 4,208 emergency incidents in the City of Manassas and 1,973 incidents in surrounding jurisdictions
    • 72% of incidents are for emergency medical services
  • The fire marshals conduct over 1,200 fire and life safety inspections each year
  • Our guiding principles are to:
