Police Department. Applications are being accepted to establish an Emergency Communications Specialist eligibility list. Performs responsible technical work on a rotating shift dispatching police, fire and rescue personnel and equipment usually in response to emergency situations. Takes telephone calls concerning complaints, passes information on to appropriate units and makes record of calls; types and files reports and records and operates paging and radio system. |

Must be able to pass and maintain state certification for dispatchers and VCIN certification (Teletype). Applicant will be required to participate in and pass a written test, polygraph, background check, psychological test, interview(s) and complete medical physical. |
