Board of Zoning Appeals

The Manassas City Board of Zoning Appeals is a quasi-judicial body charged with a specific mission as defined under Section 15.2-2309 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended. Duties include:

  • Hear and decide appeals from any order, requirement, decision, or determination made by an administrative officer in the administration and enforcement of those items covered under Chapter 130 of the Manassas City Code of Ordinances
  • Grant certain variances from those sections of the Chapter 130 of the Manassas City Code of Ordinances, provided a hardship, as defined under Section 15.2-2201 of the Code of Virginia is clearly evident.
