New Public Safety Facility
The City of Manassas is currently planning a new Public Safety Facility located in the Grant Avenue Shopping Center. The project is currently planned as an FY19 project in the adopted five-year Capital Improvement Program.
Fire & Rescue Station 21
On July 24, 2017, City Council agreed to move forward with a purchase & sale agreement for the Dumfries Road property, subject to a 60 day due diligence period. Construction is anticipated to begin in Sept 2018 with a goal of dedication in February 2020.

Sudley Road Third Lane
The Sudley Third Lane project is Capital Improvement Project T-015 will add a third northbound lane and complete sidewalk connections from Grant Avenue in the City northward approximately 1.2 miles to just north of Godwin Drive in Prince William County.
Dean Drive Extended
The Dean Dr. Extended (Existing cul-de-sac to Animal Shelter) Project is a Capital Improvement Project which consists of extending Dean Dr. about 1,500 ft from the existing cul-de-sac to the Animal Shelter driveway.

Parks & Culture
This project includes updating master plans, enhancing park facilities with additional sports fields, play courts, a dog park, and trails in conjunction with the planned Jennie Dean School replacement (expected FY 2020). Refining master plans and preparing site plans and cost estimates is anticipated for FY 2019 and construction of new facilities is anticipated in FY 2020-2022.
Manassas Museum/Library Expansion
An ongoing study is exploring the potential to renovate and/or relocate the Manassas Museum on its current site, and considering the feasibility of combining that effort with the replacement of the Prince William Public Library System Central Community Library. The project is currently in the planning stage with anticipated construction in FY 2021.
